Helping scientists and non scientists understand each other.I set up True Science Stories to combine my love of stories and my incipient nerdiness, and tell stories about science (hence the name)But then ... idiots started attacking people who'd been methodically deprived of incentives to think any further than their next dopamine hit.And they're resulting in real, palpable harm.I don't think performative outrage on social media is going to help. Each side just dig their heels in, and watch their meaningless engagement metrics grow. There's Proper Research^TM behind this: google Tali Sharot who has can explain it better than me.So what's the answer?I think it's to get the experts to learn how to communicate better. Whenever I've worked with internationally renowned researchers, they're always excellent at getting their point across.So that's what True Science Stories is about.
